My dental woes began at the age of 20 when an unfortunate accident led to the bonding of my front tooth and lower teeth with resin. That repair lasted an incredible thirty years, then spiraled into a disaster.

Foolishly, I allowed my regular dentist to attempt to re-bond the tooth. I bit into a soft roll five days later, and the new bonding fell off. So, I allowed her to try again. She shaved the
Injured tooth’s edge a little bit more each time. Without asking, that dentist decided to grind down the neighboring front tooth to match the now-shortened damaged tooth. I was horrified.

A week later, the repaired bonding fell off again anyway. So, I changed to another local dentist, who gave it a third grind and bond. That one remained in place, but, as one might imagine, it was a sight. I didn’t like smiling; I was hesitant to open my mouth.

Additional complexities compounded these challenges: a genetic lack of upper lateral incisors and the use of Invisalign to address hereditary gaps. By the time I reached fifty, I had lost faith in local dentistry and knew it was time to seek the expertise of the best in the business.
