Typically, we can fabricate temporary custom dental restorations for you within one to two days, looking natural and seamlessly matching your appearance. Most other offices are hampered by needing to coordinate with remote, off-site commercial dental labs, as an alternative, many offices will print your crowns on a CAD/CAM machine, using stock images. This step alone can take several days or even weeks to complete, and there is no guarantee that the restorations created by a third-party will actually fit your smile. With teeth, millimeters can make a difference and, in some cases, off-site restorations such as these have to be restored, retooled, and retried several times before a comfortable and attractive fit is found.
